Rick Bayless has a shitty over-priced restaurant in downtown Chicago called Frontero and I happened to make a special trip to see why Mr Bayless and his restaurant receives so much attention from the local and national press. Rick Bayless and his Frontera grill is no different than Westmont's Taco Express and any talk that this place is special is bullshit. Forontera Grill and the hype and attention of it is pretty much advertising for big restaurant industry complex and the illusion that this place is something special is a delivered and staged goal of the elite urban class.
All that Rick Bayless and his Frontera have is fancy paintings and pictures and people pay a premium for this because young urbanites just are living off debt and bank loans that may or may not be forgiven. Rick Bayless is a jackass and a half nothing but a glorified cook and in order to glorify foodie culture corporate media needs to push and create a fake thrill of a business and an asset like Frontera. The Duck meal offered with this place tasted like any duck crap meal one can get ahhh maybe in a Chinese kitchen strip mall with ten parking spaces.
The urban coastal elites ( And Chicago financial urbanites/Suburbanites) push restaurants because they want America to be a restaurant industry and where there quite literally is no space and room no room for a manufacturing base and they can ensure owners reap all of the loans and fake profit margins and the peasants clean and wait tables instead of having quality union jobs that once existed for most in this country. The Rick Bayless and the advertising corporation don't want young workers to have great jobs but wish for many to succumb to a life of service work for peanuts.

there are thousands of grills and Mexican dive places and the only thing that makes Frontera special is th advertising and print money that goes into it and the downtown location. I ate here and couldn't believe at the low quality and glorification of this restaurant Now admittedly Frontera is a better quality furniture place and setting than my beloved Taco Express;Which there are two of these places in Westmont,Illinois and this is my second favorite taco place after taco Johns.
