Were Coy and Vance Duke gay??

Peter Patel
Coy and Vance Duke came aboard in season five as actors John Schneider and Tom Wopat figured they deserved more money fron basically reading a few lines, pretending to fight people form time to time, and driving the General Lee. Coy and Vance Duke did an exemplary job filling in for Bo and Luke Duke and many people at the time thought the change was good as by season five the act of the Duke klan in this award winning popular program was staring to stretch itself thin. Many people though wondered if Coy and Vance were prime times first gay couple instead of the cousins they were to portray in replacing the similar looking Bo and Luke Duke
. While many people too offensive to the networks thinking they could just throw in two guys who looked similar and were on the go with a  contract dispute that sidelined these two greedy mainstays of Schneider and Wopat, who actually contributed little to the program as the Dukes of Hazzard was in all practically carried by Daisy Duke and Roscoe Coltrane along with Flash the dog that would make its appearance in season three. Coy and Vance seemed hesitant to show Daisy any attention in the program and seemed closer and more comfortable with each other and slept really really close to one another in their twenty episode stint in season five of the Dukes. Coy and Vance were gay and they didn't know it and the producers, directors, and writers refused to acknowledge this as it would of shocked audiences and they were worried about putting this in the plot as times were not as tolerant for the homosex community back then. Coy and Vance were great otherwise and it is a shame these two dudes just didn't take over the rest of the way for the last two seasons and add some new breath and change in direction for this awesome television program.
