Pat Buchanan's book a good look from America's republic to global empire

Patrick Buchanan is an American isolationist and because of that he is well respected over here. We don't agree with anything else he says but anybody that so strongly advocates for the reversal of brutal policies that have over stretched our budgets to protect rich oil kingdoms and European elites is a system that has to go. In this old book by Patrick he outlines America's fighting and expansionist history and this book has the feel of a history book more than you would think. Buchanan shows that this country has always been trying to expand its borders to make the nation a powerhouse and eventually at a key moment in history the leaders of this country decided to expand overseas and the consequences are reverberating today.Pat goes through some of the political battles that were fought and how the global interventionists were victorious and how they hold power to this day profiting from Americas misadventures overseas while the middle class gets hallowed out and virtually destroyed to make this empire work and protect Asians,Europeans, and Arabs with valuable assets in need of protection. he ends the book after a history lesson with his ideas and goals to reclaiming this country and focusing on our borders and internal security and not South Korea's A great read.
