Will Mohammed Morsi end up like Patrick Lumumba

Ali Muhammed

Mohammed Morsi is still under arrest an an upcoming vote to the Egyptian people is coming as the government of Egypt looks to a referendum to back their takeover bid. This scenario has occurred in Africa many times in the past. I believe eventually as protests return to Egypt you will see Morsi taken out and killed much like Patrick Lumuba was killed in Congo in 1961. Lets recap a little about Lumbaba .  He was basically a black version of Mohammed Morsi in the Congo in the sixties. A b lack prime minister of the nation of Congo whose black power rhetoric  infuriated the West as he was attemptig to move his nation towards the Soviets in the height of the cod war. Lumbaba  was arrested, beaten, and shot from a Belgian and US backed assassination of a Nelson Mandela type freedom fighter against racist colonialism.

Morsi was trying to do a similar thing with a move towards Socialist Islamic principles and new direction for this nation.  The basically disregard for the democratically elected leader of Egypt will go down as another example of hypocrisy of the Western capitalists. If Morsi does end shot and killed in the upcoming weeks or months you will see Egypt explode despite the fact that Egypt has traditionally not been a violent past unlike its neighbor Algeria. There is a more laid back attitude in this nation but this could eventually change some day as people get fed up. The upheaval and death of a national leader had a lastig effect on Congo and the nation is still fighting the scares of political upheaval fifty years ago. Egypt is headed to the same path of decade long violence unless Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim brotherhood are not reinstated in Egypt.
