Steve Dahl was talking about McDonalds on his afternoon radio show in another sly attempt to bring subliminal advertising on regular air-time. Dahl had just left the studio and went home early without telling anyone the service other day as he was not feeling well. So he decided to go home and stop at a McDonalds in Berwyn. Illinois while stuck in excruciating Chicago traffic on his way home. Dahl went on air to talk about his experience in traffic and his excellent and quick trip ordering a Mcrib sandwich. Dahl said that McDonalds has gotten away from their core business principles and just needs to do what they have always been doing and that is to provide fast and easy food for people on the go such as himself. Micky D's stock had rebounded and despite troubles with the breakfast meals and some franchise concerns about the direction of the leadership based in Oak Brook McDonalds is an institution that is not going anywhere and being so large it will always have some bumps in the road and have to deal with competitors. Dahl said that this real fast service from the good drive-thru workforce shows that McDonalds is still at its best and a leader in the drive-thru world where most can't come even close to the speed and efficiency this classic place can produce to so many hundreds of thousands hungry Americans throughout the day. Whether Steve Dahl actually meant this or if this was a paid advertising talk-time from the behemoth corporate burger chain is not known, but on my part I have always been impressed with the
