Spirit bear Scarface wandered too far off the reservation and was quickly liquidated away from the protection and safety of Yellowstone National Park. The death of this incredible Center Bear was a tragedy of immense proportions and news outlets carried news of this injustice of another wildlife senseless slaughter. Scarface was perhaps the most popular and well-known of the some seven hundred Grizzly bears in Yellowstone and police are investigating if Scarface was lured with bait off the parkland so some arrogant hunter could have bragging rights on the murder of this gallant beast.
Whoever killed Scarface will pay one way or another in this world or in the spirit world and having to call for taking a wonderful creature of the maker will have to be answered n the day of reckoning. I reckon it was some similar wicked individual much like the people who almost killed off the Buffalo from the lands of this continent.
Scarface did survive to a ripe old age for his species, 25. In his prime, he weighed 600 pounds. He was down to 338 pounds and biologists expected this last winter to be his last. They meant a death from old age, not from gunshots. Social media were full of outrage from biologists and wildlife photographers, for whom Scarface had become a symbol of the species and as it struggles to survive in this day and age. The sanctuary of Yellow stone helped Scarface to make it to a rare ripe old age in bear years but evidently it was his notoriety that helped make this bear another four-legged victim and trophy for the sickness of man.
