Chicago legendary radio host Steve Dahl and his partner Gary Meier and well established radio veterans and know how to speak for corporate interests and trying not to give the impression that something is a commercial and a normal discussion. A recent example how Dahl and Meier were speaking of Walgreens during their show is an example of a commercial being thrown in a five minute dialogue in regular broadcasting time.
Dahl is a master genus in getting these corporate messages done outside of the slotted commercial jingle time on a radio broadcast and one must wonder how much the Walgreens corporation paid for this recent dialogue on Walgreens. while Dahl and Meier are not fans of the fancy urban Walgreens that are increasingly being put up in high-income city centers but Dahl and Meier went on to praise the places for having available stuff and for being everywhere.
Dahl was puzzled that some in Chicago would complain how many Walgreens are close to each other in downtown and one on state street and the elitist bastard Meier questioned if people would want a ugly Family Dollar or Dollar Tree instead as both laughed that concept off saying it belongs out in the boondocks where local yaks live and that these businesses cater to those who cannot afford luxury downtown urban living.
