Rick Telander was on the telanderphone the other day telling ll thhse who care that he will be donating his brain to science. The many worries of post-traumatic brain damage is the reasoning as many ex NFL athletes and former football players are donating their valuable brain for scienand whether this becomes a new fad or investment asset allocation and wealth for these future players is being debated as we speak. I would say Terry Bradshaw's brain would be worth 12 million in a research lab as the man played the NFL for a number of key hard hitting years winning four super bowl rings for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rick Telander though, would have a brain valued by those in th emedical field maybe 1500 dollars. the man never played NFL football and the extent of his athletic football career consisted of kicking punts at northwester for a couple of seasons.
How the hell the Chicago sun Time decided to put his clowns name and mug on the front page recently in discussion of medical examination and intense research of this subject is alas a major joke. Rick Telander's brain needs to be researched maybe in an academic journalism laboratory with a key focus on sports writing and the effects that can come with being a mindless sports addicted powerful fan with access to the mainstream corporate media. who wants Rick Telander's brain anyway as he is not a former NFL athlete and the news he put forth out to have his brain checked for playing damage was humorous and another attack on the America institution of collision ball coming form former fialed athletes like Telander who never made it to the big show and holds grudges for his inability to punt the ball farther so he could of had a NFL career.
