Ryan Sandberg is dead

 Aaron Zappe

Today we have the very sad news report that Ryan Sandberg passed away yesterday because of prostate cancer. Ryan Sandberg was possibly the greatest Chicago Cub player of all time and this amazing player was a star in the '80s and '90s dominating the field and Diamond at Wrigley Field. I will never forget the game blowout game in 1984 which he had two home runs off St Louis reliever Bruce Sooner and I was actually at the game with my dad. Unfortunately, my dad was such a fucking piece of shit who wanted to get home and didn't want to hit traffic stay outside in the sun too long leaving in the 7th inning before I

got to see the two wild homers Sandberg hit that day.  This fact is so mind-boggling that for years I had trauma in my head thinking about it and eventually had to see counseling to just forget about it and his death was a painful reminder of just shit like that that I had to go through.

Ryan Sandberg home runs off Bruce Suter there's one of the most historical games in the history of Chicago Cubs. Some of you can suggested that Ryan Sandberg personally saved the Chicago Cubs who before he came or on the verge of bankruptcy and complete Financial collapse. Ryan Sandberg was a scrub player for the Phillies organization in the first two first two years of the Cubs organization was not

very impressive until he had a blowout season 1984 and was consistently a strong hitter near hitting over .300 several times and had close to 300 career home runs. Sandberg's'  real value though was as a defender as he won nine straight gold gloves and was MVP helping to lead the Chicago the lowly Chicago Cubs after four decades  to at least two playoff appearances and close encounters with the World Series kind in the 80.s

Brian Sandberg was a stud in a half who impregnated  so many women he lost track and all the women in Chicago were after him. Mr Sandburg was a very popular player and indeed it is getting very discerning to see all these childhood heroes suddenly pass from Hulk Hogan, to Bobby Mazak, to now Ryan Sandberg. Rhino knew his time was limited and he was not going to be around too much longer Mr Sandberg died and much too young and indeed the scourge of prostate cancer as another one killer for men needs to be highlighted more. People of that age need to be constantly screened and tested to catch this cancer and an early age and early stage Ryan Sandberg should have lived another 30 years and quite literally it's unbelievable how young some of these people die and I recall that there was actually a

ball player for the St Louis Cardinals who died of natural death like in his late 20s Ryan's Hamburg went on to manage the Philadelphia Phillies and like many Star athletes in Hall of Famers they were horrendous leaders in the club house and bad managers. Fortunately for Ryan Sandberg though, being a bad manager had nothing to do with his playing career and this man was elected to Hall of Fame within his second year of eligibility and again after Ernie Banks he might be called the best Chicago Cub player of all time having for a Time the official nickname is Mr Cub 2. Ryan Sandberg will be joining Harry

Caray in the Great diamond in the sky and they will reunite and do some play-by-play of the current Cubs team as it is in a pennant run with the nearby Milwaukee Brewers that promises to be one of the best kind of races in the history of the sport. RIP to the best second baseman in the game of Major League Baseball Ryan Sandberg is dead at the age of 65
